Entry Fee

  • $100 single plus applicable taxes
  • $200 family (2 adults & 2 children under 16) plus applicable taxes
Tickets on sale at participating Canadian Tire Stores, fishing tackle stores and official weigh stations.

Family tickets must be purchased through Head Office or online Click Here. Contest rules are available at weigh stations. Participants must purchase their entry tickets no later than the day before the day fishing begins. Your Salmon Derby one-day ticket is included when you fish with a charter boat registered with the Toronto Sun/Toronto Sportsmen’s Show, Great Ontario Salmon Derby.

Great Ontario Salmon Derby wraps up with $450,000 in prizes


Young fisherman Zane Patrick beat out the adults taking home a brand new truck after netting the largest fish at the Great Ontario Salmon Derby.

Tournament entire fee

Participants may fish in the Tournament on any date after the date of purchase of a Tournament ticket. The entire fee is $100 single, $200 family (2 adults & 2 children under age 16) plus applicable taxes. Additional children of immediate family can be added at $25.00 each plus applicable taxes.
